As expressed in our Mission Statement, project size is only important with regard to the clients needs. Full Architectural Services as defined within Design Process over an entire site are highly sought after and few Architects would argue that complete control is not ideal. Here at Scott W. Bartholomew Architecture we are most interested in fulfilling the needs of the client, be it the stated ideal or a simple permit package of drawings. Being realistic about the project is most important. Often this comes into play with budget analysis and budget estimation. We revise, relay and analyze the budget early and often throughout the project to make sure scope of work never gets out of line with feasibility.

As with the varied Architectural services provided, cost of architectural services can be custom tailored to the wishes of the client. Hourly rate, percentage of cost of construction, and cost per square foot can all be a basis for design service fees with guaranteed maximums set for each. First, the scope of design services must be defined before dollar figures can be set. During the initial interview this is a topic which will be addressed with quotes given in reference to the project under discussion.
